Save the Date – 2020 Minnesota Mashout Sort

It’s that time again… time to unpack, sort, and put labels on 2000 bottles of homebrew for the 2020 Minnesota Mashout! The Mashout is closing in on 20 years and is organized by the Saint Paul Homebrew Club.

When: Sunday, January 12th – starting at 9 a.m.

If you have access to, or have any spare, 6-pack holders and 24-pack cases, please bring them… as per usual we’ll need as many as we can get.

Just stop on by. This meeting. Another meeting. Whenever it works for you. Meetings are informal and tend to last about two hours or so. Often followed by a trip to a local establishment, if’n folks are inclined.

‘Tis the Season … Minnesota Mashout 2020!

Get busy, folks, this is the big one.

The 19th annual Minnesota Mashout (aka, the “BumbleRick” one) – organized and run by the Saint Paul Homebrew Clue (that’s us!) -is set for January 24th and 25th at Summit Brewing in St. Paul.

Some Important Dates:
– Account Registration opens Friday, December 20th
– Entry Registration opens Friday, December 20th
– Judge and Steward Registration opens Friday, December 20th
– Entry Drop Off/Shipping opens Friday, December 20th at 9 a.m.
– Entry Drop Off/Shipping ends Friday, January 10th at 5 p.m.

Everything you could possibly want to know about the competition – how to enter, where to ship or drop off entries, how to VOLUNTEER to help as a judge or steward or at the sort, the invited speakers, the silent raffle and more – is posted and updated at the https://mashout.org/ web site.

The two-day event ends with the awards ceremony Saturday night at 6:00ish at Summit Brewing’s wonderful Beer Hall in St. Paul (map: https://tinyurl.com/SummitBrewingCompany)

The very good folks at Falling Knife Brewing are inviting us into their new brewery for this meeting. Best behavior, please. Tom and crew have been open a few months and will have great beers on tap, but won’t put up with any buffoonery nor silliness.
