2019 Minnesota State Fair

Judges and Stewards needed!

Registration for judges and stewards is open for the 2019 Minnesota State Fair:

There will be five sessions over two days, August 16th and 17th.

Also, note that the sort will be on August 4th at 9 a.m. at Northern Brewer’s Headquarters in Roseville. For location:

Entry registration begins on June 29th. New this year is the Minn-kasi Award for the brewer racking up the most points for beer, mead, and cider placing in the competition.

Call for Help: NHC First Round Sort 3/17

Many hands make light work …

The bottle sort for first round is set for Sunday, March 17th, at 9 a.m. at Northern Brewer headquarters in Roseville (https://tinyurl.com/NBheadquarters).

We’ll have a lot of entries that will need to be unpacked, sorted, and labeled. The more the merrier. Whatever other happy crappy cliches might apply.

Need more incentive? There will be coffee and doughnuts. No alcohol consumption allowed on site, unfortunately, so leave your green beer (and mead) at home.

2019 Minnesota Mashout Sort

Hey gang… it’s that time again… time to unpack, sort, and put labels on 2000 bottles of homebrew for the 2019 Minnesota Mashout!

When: Sunday, January 13th – starting at 9a.m.

If you have access to, or have any spare, 6-pack holders and 24-pack cases, please bring them… as per usual we’ll need as many as we can get.

Any help is appreciated and no experience is necessary as there will be hundreds of entries which need to be carefully and lovingly sorted in preparation for judging (Friday, April 13th, and Saturday, April 14th, at Summit Brewing in St. Paul).
